This project secured 420 hectares of forest–savanna mosaic between Mount Nimba and Mount Gban in Guinea to establish a protected wildlife corridor for the critically endangered Western chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus). The acquisition safeguards key habitats and enables future reforestation with native fruit‑tree species, strengthening ecological connectivity across the Nimba landscape.
